Upsell and Cross Sell with Inventory Matrix for Dynamics GP

Upselling and Cross Selling Using Fashion Inventory Matrix for Microsoft Dynamics GP

Not only does Fashion Inventory Matrix allow fashion, apparel, and footwear companies to easily enter customer orders, but it also provides a 360 degree view of the style, sizes and designs that can be offered to the customer.

Visibility of the inventory on hand and the ability to see the different styles, colors and sizes available provides the customer service representatives (CSRs) with the ability to guide the customer in their ordering process. Representatives can inform customers of the various combinations of items that are offered and tell them about the new styles, colors and sizes that are popular.

To begin the process, the CSR will open the Sales Order Processing window in Microsoft Dynamics GP and enter the customer’s information in the header section and select ‘Matrix View’.

This opens the Matrix View window which provides a 360 degree view to the CSR about which categories of items (dresses, jackets, shirts etc.) can be offered, and the various brands, styles, colors and sizes that are available in each product line.

CSRs can also check the quantity available for each item by expanding the screen.

While on this screen, the CSR can tell the customer which colors and sizes are available, the new colors that have recently been introduced, and which style colors are popular. By having access to all of the information regarding specific styles, it enables CSRs to up-sell customers by recommending different colors in the same style. They can also quickly enter the order by simply filling in the quantities in the respective cells, with every cell representing a unique SKU.

After the quantities of a particular style are entered, the CSR can save the order for that style and discuss other available styles with the customer.

CSRs can enter as many styles as the customer requests, with the ability to move back and forth between the saved styles and to change the quantities as required by the customer. Throughout, the CSR has full visibility of the quantities that have been ordered and are available for each SKU. CSRs are better able to cross-sell to customers because they have access to all the different categories of items that are offered by the company and can recommend items that are similar or complementary to the products already ordered by the customer.

When the order is complete, the CSR can click ‘Process’ to populate SOP Order Entry Screen. This will create hundreds of individual sales order lines in a very short time. The user can toggle between GP view and Matrix view and has the ability to make changes in either view.

Once the order is complete, the CSR can print the order in regular GP view by clicking on default ‘Print’ button. They also have the option of printing a custom Matrix-based order by clicking on the custom ‘Print’ button. The Matrix invoice will list each colour on a separate line. If there are multiple prices for same colors, one line will be printed for each price level for that colour.
