No QB Desktop 2025 — Intuit Has Ended the Product Line

Why manufacturers are moving now

The forcing event has arrived. These are the reasons QB Enterprise manufacturers are finally making the move — and why waiting costs more than moving.

01
No More Security Patches
Intuit has stopped issuing security updates for QB Desktop 2023. Your financial data, vendor records, and customer information now sit on software with no security net. Every day that passes is additional exposure.
02
Bank Feeds at Risk
Connected services — bank feeds, payroll sync, payment processing — can disconnect without warning on unsupported versions. Many manufacturers find out on a Friday when payroll does not sync.
03
No QB 2025 — Ever
QB Desktop 2024 is the final version. Intuit has ended the product line. There is no path forward on Desktop. The decision is not whether to move — it is where to land.
04
QBO Has No Manufacturing
Moving to QuickBooks Online is not a solution for manufacturers. QBO has no native Bill of Materials, no production orders, no work centres, no WIP reporting. The patchwork of add-ons costs more and delivers less.
05
ERP Is Now Affordable
The $150,000 ERP implementation fear is based on a decade-old mental image. Business Central at a fixed $32,500–$62,500 through AccSoft's productised delivery is a different proposition entirely.
06
Slot Scarcity Is Real
268,000 QB Enterprise users need to move. Certified BC partners have finite capacity. Manufacturers who book implementation slots now go live well before the May 2026 deadline. Those who wait compete for remaining slots under pressure.

Questions we hear every week

Direct answers. No spin.

ERP is too expensive for a company our size
Our Tier 1 starts at $32,500 fixed. That is the complete price — discovery through go-live through hypercare. It is defined in a signed SOW before we start. There is no hourly meter running. The fear of ERP cost is based on quotes from a different era.
We cannot afford the disruption to our operation
Tier 1 goes live in 8–10 weeks. We run parallel testing in a Sandbox before any data is touched. Go-live is planned for a low-activity period. Hypercare keeps AccSoft on call for the first two weeks after launch.
Our accountant uses QuickBooks — will they be able to work in BC?
Business Central has full accountant access. We include a CPA orientation session in the training scope. Most external accountants adapt within 2–3 sessions. We have done this many times and it has never been a project-stopper.
We will lose 10 years of historical data
You will not. Opening balances, all master data, and open transactions migrate. Your QB file remains accessible for historical reference indefinitely. We do not delete anything — we migrate what you need to operate and archive the rest.
What if the project runs over budget?
It cannot. The price is fixed and documented in the SOW. If scope does not change, price does not change. Every out-of-scope item requires a written Change Order — with a specific price and timeline impact — that you approve before we do anything.
Can we really wait until later this year?
QB 2023 support is already gone. QB 2024 ends in May 2026. Implementation slots are finite. Manufacturers who start now go live before the deadline. Those who wait until Q1 2026 compete with everyone else who also waited.
